Vesuvio Walnut
Based on archaeological finds at Ercolano and Pompei, it was possible to ascertain the existence of large production of walnuts and pine nuts on the Vesuvio already at the time of Roman Empire. The Vesuvio walnut, along with that of Sorrento, is the oldest type of nut present in Campania and as the Sorrento Walnut, is loved by the confectionery industry and consumers for its properties.
